How do robots really work? Research a prototype using LEGO MindStorm sets and move step-by-step through the building and programming of new robot behavior. Experiment with your robot’s motors, sensors and programming, with class culminating in ever-popular robot battles. (16 max)

Beginning Diné Language (ages 6-8)

Diné bizaad bídahwidiilʼááł doo! We can learn the Navajo Language together! All are welcome—any or no previous experience. Through fun, interactive activities such as visuals, songs, games, and simple projects, listen to and begin to speak Diné bizaad (the Navajo Language). Learning is reinforced daily with verbal repetition using total physical response (TPR), which attributes simple sign language or a motion with a word or phrase. Bring a new package of blank 3x5 cards to the first class. $5 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. (20 max)

MILDRED BITSUI has been a teacher for 24+ years with a lifelong interest in speaking, reading, and writing in the Navajo language.
