Fiber Art Fun (ages 6-8) NEW!
with SERAFINA BITAH
Enter world of textures and colors to create unique and visually stunning artworks. From fabric dyeing techniques and pillow making to spool knitting, tying knots and weaving, learn fiber art techniques. Foster a love of artistic expression through multi-layered, tactile lessons. $15 fee payable to instructor at the first class. (20 max)
SERAFINA BITAH has been an educator for 21 years. She received her BS and MA in Education from the University of New Mexico. She teaches art to young learners in the Farmington area and is excited to join Kids Kollege this year.
Hispanic Treats (ages 9-11)
with YARELY QUINTANA
Hispanic traditions taste so good! Biscochitos, empanadas, gelatina, bolis, tres leches cake, and flan— your learning will come to life not just from the oven but also through Spanish vocabulary and learning Mexican games while you wait. $20 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. Basketball Central (ages 9-11)
with DEVON LAPAHIE
Shoot, shoot . . . score! Enjoy a fun-filled week of games, shots and dribbling. Learn to shoot and dribble with both left and right hands. Improve your skills in lay-ups, free throws and 3-point shooting. Learn the positions, put your skills together on a team—and score! Bring water and wear nonmarking athletic shoes. (20 max)
DEVON LAPAHIE has taught credit basketball at San Juan College and coached in Aztec, and he currently coaches the basketball team at Bloomfield High School.
Fabulous Fairy Tales (ages 4-5)
with MELISSA SMITH
Enter the world of magical stories with happy endings! Read fairy tales, sing songs, play games and make arts and crafts projects. While having so much fun, we will also sneak in some essential preschool and kindergarten concepts. $5 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. (14 max)

Indoor Rock Climbing (ages 6-8)
with CLIMBING WALL STAFF
Achieve new heights on the 6,000 square foot wall at San Juan College’s Health and Human Performance Center. Climbing offers a new perspective as you explore routes specifically designed for kids and learn how to boulder (bouldering is a style of rock climbing that is done close to the ground without ropes or harnesses and focuses on technique and control). Build confidence as you learn safety, basic knots and team building skills with activities and games. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic/tennis shoes. Cost includes all necessary equipment, and class cost covers staffing to ensure a 1:6 staff to-student ratio for safety purposes. (12 max)

LEGO Robotics (ages 9-15)
with TROY REED
How do robots really work? Research a prototype using LEGO MindStorm sets and move step-by-step through the building and programming of new robot behavior. Experiment with your robot’s motors, sensors and programming, with class culminating in ever-popular robot battles. (16 max)
TROY REED has worked for afterschool and summer enrichment programs for nine years, including Kids Kollege and the 21st Century grant.
