Piano from the Very Beginning (ages 6-15)
with MEGAN JACK
It’s your week to play for the first time. This class assumes no previous experience in playing or music reading abilities. Put your hands to the keys in a group setting for beginning lessons, as well as listening to modern pianists, note reading, and learning history of composers and performers. All students need to be able to read letters, numbers and simple sentences. Keyboards provided. $10 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. (10 max)

STEM SESSION 2: Forensic Science and Mysteries
Have you ever wanted to solve mysteries or be a detective like a member of a CSI team or Sherlock Holmes? Come solve mysteries using logic and forensic science! With the discovery of DNA by Watson, Crick, and Rosalind Franklin in the 1950s, scientists began to develop the methods that made modern forensic science possible.

Disc Golf (ages 6-8)
with DEVON LAPAHIE
Combine the challenge of golf with the fun of frisbees, and you have Disc Golf! Disc golf is played much like ball golf but with discs that come in different molds that make a putter, mid-range, fairway driver, and distance drivers. Play begins with throwing from a tee box and completion into a basket. The number of throws it takes to complete the hole is the score for that hole. Learn the fundamentals of throwing discs and gain an understanding of how disc golf is played with rules provided from the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). All equipment provided, but bring your own discs if you have them; bring water, a hat and sunscreen. (14 max)

Young Climbers (ages 4-6)
Climb on at a young age on the 6,000 square foot wall at San Juan College’s Health and Human Performance Center. Learn how to climb and boulder (bouldering is a style of rockclimbing that is done close to the ground without ropes or harnesses and focuses on technique and control).Wear comfortable clothing and athletic/tennis shoes. Cost includes all necessary equipment, and class cost covers staffing to ensure a 1:6 staff to-student ratio for safety purposes.(12 max)

Bling it on! Jewelry Making (ages 9-15)
with AMY TANNER
Dive into the fascinating world of wearable art! Learn basic techniques such as making your own beads, bead stringing, and how to use found objects to make unique pieces in a very hands-on class. Join us as you create cherished unique pieces to wear for years to come. $15 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. (20 max)

Community Helpers (ages 4-5)
with KIMBER CRISMON
Through the rain, snow or dark of night, helpers serve and protect to make things right. Fire Fighters, police officers and mail carriers make our community better. Be inspired by these workers as you learn what they do through story time, games, activities,snacks, songs and special guests. $5 supply fee payable to instructor at thefirst class. (14 max)

Creative Engineering (ages 6-8)
with TROY REED
Rubber band cars, bridges and towers from everyday materials—get ready to tinker! Put your curiosity, problem solving and math skills to work as you create items you can really use. $8 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. (20 max)
TROY REED has worked for afterschool and summer enrichment programs for nine years, including Kids Kollege and the 21st Century grant.
Pokémon Masters (ages 6-15)
with CHRISTOPHER CRISMON
Create ‘em, train ‘em, master ‘em! From the shows to your own creations, from new games to scavenger hunts, choose your own starter and see where it takes you. $5 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class.(20 max)
CHRISTOPHER CRISMON has taught popular Kids Kollege classes for nine summers and works during the school year at Bloomfield High School.
