Ready…Set…Spike! Play the exciting game of volleyball while having fun. Start with the basics of this great game and then learn the positions on a court and how to play as a team. Volleyballs will be included, but we encourage you to bring your own if you have one. (16 max)

Play a game that makes you think. Learn the basics of chess so you can play at school, with friends, or with your parents. Discover how each piece moves, how to checkmate an opponent and what moves at the start of the game lead to success. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, play lots of games against other students and you might even challenge the teacher. (24 max)

This creative craft class invites children to explore art through finger painting, making friendship bracelets, and creating fun hands-on crafts. Children will experiment with colors, textures, and materials while expressing their ideas and enjoying the process of creating. Each activity encourages creativity, fine-motor skills, and sharing as children proudly make special artwork to take home. $15 material supply fee is included in the total course cost for a total of $75.  (10 max)

Achieve new heights on the 6,000 square foot wall at San Juan College’s Health and Human Performance Center. Climbing offers a new perspective as you explore routes specifically designed for kids and learn how to boulder (bouldering is a style of rock climbing that is done close to the ground without ropes or harnesses and focuses on technique and control). Build confidence as you learn safety, basic knots and team building skills with activities and games. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic/tennis shoes. Cost includes all necessary equipment, and class cost covers staffing to ensure a 1:5 staff-to-student ratio for safety purposes. (12 max)

In this hands-on class, students will turn their own custom vector and raster designs into real engraved creations. Learn how laser technology works, explore digital design basics, and safely engrave eye-catching designs onto wood. Perfect for creative teens who love art, tech, or engineering—and want to see their ideas come to life in minutes. (5 max)

In this fun and interactive coding class, kids learn how to think like programmers while creating games, animations, and simple apps. Using age-appropriate tools and visual coding languages, students explore the basics of coding through hands-on projects, puzzles, and teamwork. (16 max)

A fun and challenging class wherekids dive into a variety of puzzles, brain teasers, and logic games designed to stretch their minds and spark creativity. Through hands-on problem-solving activities, students will develop critical thinking, reasoning, and teamwork skills while working individually and in groups to tackle increasingly tricky challenges.
